People Everyone Should Know...
Time and time again, I've heard people complain about not knowing who to contact to learn more about worksite wellness and health and productivity management.  As a result, I'm serving up the best of the best on a silver platter.

Howard Weyers
Howard Weyers is the CEO of Weyco, a Michigan-based third party adminstration firm.  Howard is widely for known for his stance on workplace smoking.  In fact, several years ago, Mr. Weyers put a plan into place to fire his employees who were smokers and chose not to quit.  He also put a plan into place to not hire smokers as new Weyco employees.  In a recent interview, I found Howard to be a remarkable man with great vision and strong beliefs.  Indeed, many companies have now followed his lead.

Dr. Lee Handke
Lee Handke is the Vice President of Wellness and Pharmacy for BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska.  Under Lee's supervision, BCBSNE has built a best-in-class wellness program that boasts of 90+% participation rates.  Lee is an excellent speaker and has presented keynotes on worksite wellness in a variety of locations throughout the U.S.  Lee is a well-respected national resource and few can match his wellness expertise.

Dr. Suzanne Kryder
Suzanne Kryder is an executive coach extraordinaire.  She has been in leadership management training for 20 years. In her career, Suzanne has trained and coached thousands of leaders and teams to improve their communication skills, work more productively, and live more fully.  As one of the premier coaches in the country, Suzanne served as an executive coach to the senior management team at WELCOA and the process helped to set a new direction for the organization.

Dr. Joe Quatrochi
Dr. Joe Quatrochi currently holds a position as Professor of Human Performance and Sport at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. He has coordinated the Adult Fitness and Exercise Science emphasis area in the HPSL department for the past 10 years, training pre-service personal trainers and allied health professionals. In addition to being a leading health expert, Joe is also a cancer survivor.  He is a tremendous presenter with a powerful message.

Dr. Steve Aldana
Dr. Steven Aldana is currently a Professor in the College of Health and Human Performance at Brigham Young University where he is the Director of Health Promotion Programs. He has published over 50 scientific papers and three books on various health promotion topics. Most recently, Steve has published two new books entitled, The Culprit and The Cure and The Stop & Go Fast Food Nutrition Guide which we have marketed through WELCOA.  Both of these books are excellent. As one of the brightest minds in the field of worksite health promotion, Steve travels and consults extensively.

Dr. Brian Luke Seaward
Dr. Brian Luke Seaward is renowned nationally and internationally as an expert in the field of stress management, mind-body-spirit healing and health promotion. I can tell you for certain, he's one of the true treasures in the field of health and wellness.  Dr. Seaward has done interviews, conducted seminars, presented keynotes, and authored articles for WELCOA.  He is genuinely thoughtful and extremely talented.

Dr. Michael Perko
Dr. Mike Perko currently is the Chair of the Health Education program at the University of Alabama. From 1992 to1997 he served as the Associate Director of the Good Health Makes $ense program, a comprehensive worksite health promotion and disease prevention initiative for employees, spouses, and retirees of Alabama and Gulf Power Companies. With over 160 sites in two states, the program utilized a multitude of stage-driven design, planning, and evaluation strategies to provide for the needs of over 10,000 participants. During that time he hosted, wrote, and produced the Good Health Makes $ense Show, a monthly live satellite broadcast to over 100 sites in Alabama and Florida. I've worked with Mike for more than 10 years in a variety of settings, and he has an impeccable reputation.  In addition to serving on editorials boards for WELCOA, he has also spoken and written extensively for us.

Dr. David Gobble
Dr. Gobble is the Director of the Fisher Institute for Wellness, Ball State University. David received his PhD in Community Health and has worked in health promotion and wellness for over twenty-five years as an educator, administrator, direct service provider, and consultant. His career has focused on the delivery and evaluation of disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness programs in various work and community settings. Dr. Gobble has been published in leading journals in health education, nursing, psychology, and wellness.  Most recently, David has been elected to serve on WELCOA's national Board of Directors.  Working together, WELCOA and BSU have forged a partnership under David's direction whereby BSU grad students are researching, developing and delivering consumer health information for WELCOA publications.  David is a highly sought after speaker and consultant.
